Join us in Richmond as we lobby our state representatives regarding medical freedom, informed consent, and bodily autonomy.

Friday February 18, 2022 is Medical Freedom Lobby Day in Virginia. We encourage everyone to show up and make your voices heard to your state senator and delegate. RSVP for free so we have an idea of how many are attending. Here's what you need to know:
-Call and make an appointment ASAP to meet with your state senator and delegate on Friday February 18, 2022. Find out who your delegate is here https://whosmy.virginiageneralassembly.gov/ -Make Plans to attend, setup carpool with friends, get a babysitter, book a hotel if need be. We have a few rooms blocked off at the Omni Hotel 100 S 12th St, Richmond, VA 23219 (804) 344-7000 Call ASAP to reserve. $169 per night mention Virginia Freedom Keepers when calling. -At VFK we have a reputation for being kind and respectful while also assertive in our messaging, we expect all who attend lobby day to embody these same principles when speaking to their representatives. Be sure to clean up after yourself if you bring snacks or lunch. -Regarding masks in the government building, Governor-elect Youngkin has stated he will rescind the mandates once in office so masks should not be required to enter the building however, know that the specific senators and delegates may have different requirements for conducting meetings. If so, simply leave the one page info sheets we have provided on our website with their secretaries, do not let their fear disrupt your peace. -When you arrive stop at the front desk to get a booklet with all the representatives names and office numbers so you can navigate through the building. Go through the glass doors, turn right, go up the ramp, we will be meeting in this overflow room where you can get stickers and handouts, fellowship with other members until your meeting with your legislator. If you do not have a meeting go talk to the secretary and see if they have an availability or if you can talk to an aid. At 3pm we will have a time to meet other members and discuss the events of the day, successes/failures, and what we can learn from our experience. Location will be updated in the coming weeks.
