MARSHA LESSARD, DIRECTOR OF EDUCATION & ADVOCACY
A former Police Officer from a municipal department in Prince George’s County Maryland, Marsha worked in patrol and enjoyed working closely with the kids in the community. Her main duties included community oriented policing, court testimony, intelligence gathering, victim assistance, and community outreach in addition to patrol and arrest. After her time in law enforcement, she was an evaluator for American Military University ensuring military members were given college credit for their military education. In 2011, she hung up her hat to become a full-time, stay at home mom and military wife.
The deep sense of loyalty and the importance of service that one gains from roles like mother, police officer and military wife naturally fueled her conviction of informed consent advocacy. Marsha joined the medical freedom movement in 2019 after years of struggle and eventual success recovering her son from a vaccine injury. Her daughter subsequently suffered from a reaction that was later attributed to the HPV vaccine.
She has an undergraduate and graduate degree from Johns Hopkins in Management with a focus on ethical leadership. Currently a Graduate student at George Mason for Social Work with a concentration in clinical study, she plans to channel her passion for human rights and inherent freedoms into mental health therapy upon graduation.
