Learn more about Virginia's 2019 elections process.
Virginia Freedom Keepers will provide members important updates on next year's state elections. In Virginia, the House of Delegates Representatives are elected every two years while the state’s Senators are elected every four years. The Governor, who has a one term limit, is also elected every four years.
Election years typically bring a variety of legislative candidates from both the major and minor political parties with varying views on medical freedom. During the 2019 election in which all of these legislative bodies were up for re-election, the Democratic party took majority control of each.
Interestingly enough, many candidates last election ran unopposed by the alternate major political party. In some cases, not even a minor party candidate was on the ballot. A break down of candidates who ran unopposed follows for both the house and senate.
